1st Echo
Date: June 29th, 2013
Cause: While visiting the hospital, John had seen a woman being brought in via an ambulance; she had been mugged and stabbed in the throat.
Effect: John has regained the memory of a blond bleeding out in an alleyway after someone had attacked her. A guy is beside him, telling him to save her, but he does nothing.
Notes: John obviously has no idea what's going on and is now thinking that he had witnessed someone's death while he was drunk. The victim's name is Becca--one of Mitchell's co-workers, the attacker is a vampire named Lauren, and the other man is his best friend, George; he'll... eventually figure that out.

2nd Echo
Date: July 19th, 2013
Cause: He watches Kallie chase and take out a vermini. [ here ]
Effect: John regains the ability to turn his eyes black.
Notes: It takes him a little more than a week to learn how to control the manifestation, and during that time, he ends up hiding out in his apartment because, holy crap, he's not going out like that. Also? He doesn't own a pair of sunglasses. That get rectifies ASAP.

3rd Echo
Date: July 28th, 2013
Cause: John has a run-in with some dogs infested with alien fungi. [ here ]
Effect: He is no longer able to pass through the threshold of a private residence without being invited in.
Notes: John doesn't notice the effect immediately, but when the first instance crops up, he'll instinctively know that he needs to get an invitation--otherwise, it's going to hurt in some way or another. Currently, if he gets this feeling and goes inside anyway, he'll just be very uncomfortable in the residence; the canon punishment of being burned and melted doesn't come into effect just yet.

4th Echo
Date: August 2nd, 2013
Cause: John ingests some of the tainted tap water and suffers from a giggle fit. [here]
Effect: He remembers a conversation he once had:
An unknown woman: You don't get to be left alone! You don't get a life and lovers and hope! You are poisonous! You are wearing other people's clothes. You are not human.

Mitchell: You have such a redundant view of the world. God made man in His own image. What if that included His rage? And His spite. And His indifference. And His cruelty. What if God made us too? We're all his children, you see. God's a bit of a bastard. Look at us both. Covered in other people's blood and talking about morality. But there's one difference between me and you. You had a choice.
Notes: The woman is named Lucy Jaggat. While he won't recall her name or her importance to him, John will remember her face.

5th Echo
Date: August 3rd, 2013
Cause: John spends an entire night in the presence of Alex's fangs during their bar crawl, and it's really his first time being in the presence of real fangs in person. [here]
Effect: After coming home early in the morning, he recalls the first time he encountered a vampire as well as the name "Herrick."
Notes: Specifically, John remembers the time he ran into a small group of vampires, led by Herrick, in a forest in France during WWI. He doesn't remember the bargain he struck with Herrick or getting turned; it's just from the point of initial contact to seeing Herrick's eyes turn black and his fangs appearing.

6th Echo
Date: August 9th, 2013
Cause: John visits a shooting range with Alex and actually gets his hands on a rifle. [here]
Effect: He regains his ability to use a rifle, based off of the skills he learned as a soldier in WWI.
Notes: He's not a super-amazing super-shot sniper, but he'll be good enough to pose a threat if he's armed. Now about getting an actual gun to use...

7th Echo
Date: September 13th, 2013
Cause: During Monster Movie Night, John checks out Alex's fridge and takes an interest in his blood jello. [ here ]
Effect: He remembers this one instance when he rooted around a hospital fridge filled with packaged blood products and then proceeded to pocket it for another vampire named Lauren. John will also recall the feeling of bloodlust while staring at the blood, but he won't actually regain said bloodlust just yet.
Notes: The hunger lasts only a moment, but it's enough to make him seriously worried about what may be coming in the near future.

8th Echo
Date: September 21st, 2013
Cause: John witnesses the pink light in the sky that evening.
Effect: He will recall being stuck in a hospital after having gotten staked in the chest. John will also remember that he ended up drinking (and killing) a former love in order to survive and recover from the injury. While she had volunteered herself, he will still sharply feel the sense of loss and loathing that he had felt at the time. John will also regain some of his healing abilities.
Notes: John will not actually remember the woman he drank from (Josie) or any fine details of the incident. As for his healing capabilities, he will be able to recover from flesh wounds quickly (but not instantaneously) and easily now.

9th Echo
Date: September 21st, 2013 [ here ]
Cause: John comes home and finds out that Anthony is now, undeniably, a zombie.
Effect: He recalls Sasha, a zombie he had met in his previous life, as well as how she'd ended up on his doorstep.
Notes: This memory is pretty short and sweet(?). Other than the above, he does remember Sasha hitting on him.

10th Echo
Date: September 23rd, 2013
Cause: He follows the buzzing to the tuning towers.
Effect: The (vampire porn) dvd that Lauren had given him shows up at his apartment.
Notes: Yep. What it says on the tin.

Cause: John finally gets around to watching his vampire porn dvd.
Effect: He regains his fangs and his human bloodlust.
Notes: Cue not so fun times.
